Sarah Best

1st April 2020

This video from The Economist attempts to answer some questions associated with the coronavirus.

Some of the questions that are addressed include:

  • How will low-income countries be affected?
  • Why do mortality rates differ from country to country?
  • Can the pandemic accelerate the transition to us working and teaching remotely? And can existing infrastructure cope?

The video and the information contained fit within a number of areas within sociology and students could watch this to help understand more about how different areas of society are interdependent.
