Japan’s suicide rate rises during pandemic

This video explores the impact of the pandemic on mental health in Japan, with a significant increase in the number of suicides and attempted suicides by women.

The video could be used for the Health unit as well as Crime and Deviance (although the section related to suicide has been removed).

This video discusses highly sensitive material and is not appropriate for all students. Caution is advised and the video should be viewed in advance by a member of staff.
