Holistic Marking in Sociology

When the new specification for A Level Sociology was introduced in 2015, a significant change was that the mark schemes for the longer essay questions became holistic.

The team at Tutor2u have created a teacher-marking grid that aims to not only reduce the marking workload, but also provide a clear structure for guidance in an easy to understand format. These marking grids are available for immediate download and they are also free!

As well as for teacher use, the grids could also be provided to students as a self-assessment exercise or for peer marking activities. So, if you haven't used them yet in your lessons check them out and click on the link below:
