The Care Act 2014 has now received Royal Assent. It implements 95% of the Law Commission's recommendations, so a good example of its contemporary success. Also having received the Royal Assent is the Co-Operative and Community Societies Act 2014, which happens to be a nice up-to-date example of consolidation for students of law reform.The Care Act is notable as a response to the Mid Staffs hospital scandal and subsequent Francis Inquiry.
