We are studying the economics of vaccines and it is also one of the titles for the 2021 Durham University economics essay prize - so this new film from the FT is handy to say the least!

The Financial Times explains how the vaccine market works – including the cost of a vaccine and the vaccine development process – and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. How high are the social returns for vaccines? How do the pharmaceutical companies make profit? What role is there for government in helping the fund early development of new vaccines? These questions and much more are considered in the video.
