Twitter's growth continues to slow

In most businesses, adding eight million users in the space of a year would count as success! But for Twitter, the clear deceleration in the year on year growth of their monthly active user base is a BIG cause for concern. Over the same period, Facebook has added more than 210 million users to their network. Twitter faces many challenges not least how to monetise their platform and show to advertisers that it is money well spent to send some marketing dollars their way. Is the momentum now decisively shifting to platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram? The next twelve months will be vital.
