Regulatory Failure - Raw sewage dumped into England's rivers 375,000 times in 2021

The extent to which UK water companies are making little effort to reduce marine pollution has prompted some so-called 'citizen scientists' to mount their own campaign to maintain environmental standards in the face of what they believe is ineffectual monitoring by the Environment Agency.
Indeed, last year raw sewage was discharged into England's rivers 375,000 times last year - so perhaps they have a point.
