ABOUT ESSENTIAL CPD COURSES BY TUTOR2U
tutor2u CPD courses are designed and delivered by subject experts and examiners. Each “Essential” course is led by the relevant tutor2u Subject Team - all of whom have a deep understanding of needs of non-specialist and inexperienced teachers.
A FOCUS ON CORE TOPICS & CONCEPTS
Each Essential CPD course focuses on developing attendee confidence in teaching the most important topics and concepts. We take the time to explain them carefully, consider where students struggle with this content and how to overcome this.
NOT FOR SUBJECT EXPERTS!
What makes Essential CPD courses so different is that they are designed solely for non-specialists or inexperienced subjects teachers. We take the time to address issues raised during the day, and we assume no prior level of subject expertise.
READY-TO-USE RESOURCES
We’ve developed a bumper pack of ready-to-use, proven teaching resources and approaches that are ideally suited to use by non-specialist and inexperienced teachers. All come with full instructions to save lesson preparation time.
ASSESSMENT - EXPLAINED!
A key issue for non-specialist and inexperienced teachers is getting to grips with how students are assessed and what assessment skills are required. The tutor2u Subject teams use their experience and expertise in examining to explain this important area.
BUILD A PERSONAL LEARNING NETWORK
Time and again, attendees on tutor2u Essential CPD courses comment on how valuable each day has been to help them develop contacts with fellow non-specialists or new teachers - as well as with the tutor2u Subject teams who continue to provide support after the course itself.
