Is Another Mega Brewing Merger On The Cards?

Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world’s largest brewer by sales, has approached rival SABMiller to explore a tie-up. This Financial Times discussion video looks at some of the possible motives behind the merger talks and the likely divestments needed to satisfy the competition authorities. I've included a chart showing the market share of Anheuser-Busch InBev in different countries in 2014. Anheuser-Busch InBev is described as an acquisitions machine - sales of beer are slowing in North America forcing them to look elsewhere to drive faster sales growth. Will another big deal create enough synergies to benefit the business and their shareholders?
