How contestable is the market for broadcasting sports rights?
Some years ago Sky seemed to have things locked down. The entrance of BT Sport and now several new streaming providers including is shaking things up - but is this to the benefit of consumers who now face having to hold multiple subscriptions to get their fix of top sport. The Guardian reports here.
Will the terrestrial broadcasters eventually have to make joint bids for live sports rights? They are battling against digital giants with deep pockets.
