Do men or women smoke more in the world?
Using the OurWorldinData graphic, (scroll down to chart called 'Men are more likely to smoke than women almost everywhere in the world' on Jan 10th 2025) answer the following questions:
- Which is more prevalent globally, tobacco smoking by men or smoking by women? Using Bangladesh as an example, pick out data to support your answer.
- In which continents is the difference between male and female tobacco smoking the greatest and the least?
