Where are the vacancies for young people?

Using the Guardian article table (scroll down to Job opportunities for young people in the UK (Suitable vacancies for every 1,000 age 18-24 population by local authority), do these data calculation questions:

  1. Calculate the proportion of vacancies per young person in each of these areas - the Cotswolds, West Oxfordshire, Warrington and Westmorland & Furness - by dividing vacancies per 1,000 by the size of the 18–24 population.
  2. Identify which of these areas has the highest youth‑adjusted vacancy rate and briefly explain what this suggests about labour market opportunities for young people.
