Students take charge of Hartley’s, a much-loved high-street retailer selling clothes and homeware, which has fallen behind faster online rivals. Guided by turnaround adviser Otto Mayton, they decide how far to adopt AI in marketing, operations and customer service. With a £600k budget and changing board priorities, they balance cost, speed and competitiveness against staff morale, customer trust and reputation.
