A fun, pet-themed quantitative activity that gives students lots of canine-themed practice in calculating and applying price elasticity of demand (PED).

In this activity students complete four price elasticity of demand tasks using pet-related business contexts, including dog treats, dog walking, dried dog food and dog grooming. They calculate PED, interpret elastic and inelastic demand, and use elasticity data to predict changes in sales volume following price rises or reductions.

This resource directly maps to the requirement for students to calculate, interpret and analyse values of price elasticity of demand, and to understand the effect of price changes on revenue given the price elasticity of demand.
