A focused, discussion-friendly activity that helps students explore how an entrepreneur’s role changes as a growing business needs stronger leadership and people-management skills.

Students analyse a short profile of Kristopher Cross, founder of the fast-growing clothing brand NonBrand, and identify skills that could help him become an effective leader. They then compare entrepreneurial and leadership skills using a Venn diagram, before explaining which leadership skill Kris should develop as the business grows.

This activity directly maps to the specification requirement for students to understand the characteristics of entrepreneurs and the change in role of entrepreneurs as business grows. It also supports discussion of entrepreneurial qualities such as being resilient, focused, passionate, innovative and adaptable.
