Cannabis is a class-B drug meaning that people caught in possession of it can face up to five years in prison.

However, the drug’s use for medicinal purposes has resulted in the Conservative government to undertake a review for individual cases. Lord Hague has gone further and suggested that the drug’s classification should be reconsidered.
