The UN has allocated $100 million to provide emergency funding for a number of countries who are at risk of famine, including Ethiopia and Yemen.

They have warned "that without immediate action the world could see huge numbers of children dying on TV screens.' A number of the countries have experienced natural disasters this year as well as being hit by the pandemic.

This article could be used for the Global Development unit as well as Health (globalisation).
