Trump threatens to shut down social media companies
2nd June 2020
Donald Trump has threatened to take action against social media organisations claiming that they "stifle free speech."
Twitter is one type of social media that Trump uses regularly to post his views and after a recent post where Twitter attached a fact-check link, Trump did not appear pleased.
Trump turned against Twitter, claiming that he would not allow social media organisations to restrict free speech. He has also made claims recently that other organisations like Google, Instagram and Facebook are in control of the left.
