The Gender Pay Gap
9th April 2018
All public and private companies in Great Britain (excluding Northern Ireland) with at least 250 employees were expected to report their gender pay gap to the Government by 4th April. The Guardian reported that about 1500 firms failed to do so in time and may now face legal action.
By reporting the gender pay gap it is hoped that companies become more transparent about the differences between how much men and women are paid, with the aim of balancing this.
