The UK's data watchdog is considering banning 'likes' and 'streaks' on social media platforms such as Facebook and Snapchat.

The purpose of such regulation is to reduce the amount of time under-18s spend on social media. Furthermore, the services should "adopt 'robust' age-verification services".
