Podcast Recommendation: Grounded with Louis Theroux
11th May 2020
Each day this week I will provide a link and brief description to a different podcast episode, the aims of which are to provide some insights on how different people are responding to life under lockdown. The intention is to provide a small degree of respite from some of the more intense stories about the virus that is affecting the UK and other countries around the world.
Today's podcast recommendation comes from the brilliant Louis Theroux, who, in the first episode of his new series entitled 'Grounded' interviews Jon Ronson who has recently become an American citizen. The two journalists/writers discuss their experiences of lockdown, anxiety and their past work.
This podcast could be used as part of an enrichment programme for students, and if students have access to any of Louis Theroux's documentaries these are always useful for insights into different areas within sociology.
