Podcast Recommendation: Surveillance Capitalism

Sarah Best

30th April 2019

Another podcast this time from BBC Radio Four Beyond Today about 'surveillance capitalism'.

It is an fascinating listen as it covers how products from the likes of Amazon and Google (The Nest) has been known to collect data on our habits even when we are asleep. This information is then used to advertise products to us.

This podcast could be used for The Media unit as well as Crime and Deviance (Foucault/panopticon).
