Parkrun
11th January 2019
Here is an interesting opinion piece from The Guardian about 'Parkrun', a free weekly running initiative that is assisted by volunteers.
Parkrun originated in the UK but the weekly meetups are now held in many countries around the world. The article explores a number of aspects, including the obvious health benefits, but also the economics and social impacts as a result of the individuals participating.
The article could be used within the Health unit, as well as providing a general overview of sociology.
