Male Suicide

The following article from The Guardian explores the issue of suicide in men.
A group called Andy’s Man Clubs are located around the UK and aim to create a space for men to talk. Interestingly there are no mental health professionals working in the organisation, and, according to Luke Ambler (who started the club) this is one of the main reasons why it appeals to men as the members are allowed to ‘speak normally’.
The article and a subsequent discussion could be used within the Crime and Deviance unit, and also when discussing gender.
