Plans unveiled by the government show that under new immigration rules would result in individuals who do not meet certain requirements not receiving visas to work in the UK.

The home secretary, Priti Petal has stated that she "wants to encourage people with the right talent" to move to the UK and "reduce the levels of people coming to the UK with low skills".

The new immigration system would be based on a points-based system, overseas workers would require 70 points to be able to work in the UK, whereas those seeking work with an approved sponsor would need 50 points.

This article and the accompanying videoes could be used to discuss demographics and migration (immigration, emigration).
