BBC has given rises to 700 female staff since start of pay scandal

In another article that may assist students who are covering The Media unit, this article highlights how the BBC has given pay rises to over 700 female employees.

In a high profile case, the presenter "Samira Ahmed took the BBC to an employment tribunal to seek more than £700,000 in back pay after she was paid substantially less than Jeremy Vine for presenting an equivalent programme."

This article could be also be useful within a discussion of gender.
