Hidden Histories: Declassified Documents

Scott Thomas

22nd April 2017

Whilst looking through Reddit the other day, I came across a discussion about the strangest things that people had unearthed during the reading of recently declassified documents from governments around the world. I thought I would share some of the most interesting with you here

1) The US SUNDIAL project to create a powerful bomb 1/2 a million times more powerful than that dropped on Nagasaki

2) Operation Popeye where the US Government would use weather manipulation to gain a tactical advantage in warfare. It was used in the Vietnam War to create an extended monsoon season to cause problems for the North Vietnamese.

3) 1961 B52 crash in North Carolina in which two hydrogen bombs that the plane had been carrying almost detonated and destroyed the town of Goldsboro.

4) The Speech that Richard Nixon would have given if the moon landings had failed

5) Queen's Speech in the event of Nuclear War

6) Project MKUltra was commonly known as the CIA Mind Control Programme. The CIA conducted experiments hoping to be able to develop successful mind control programmes that could be used in the field.

7) Operation Northwoods: A programme in the 1960s designed to conduct terror attacks on the US that had been organised by the US Government as a pretense to go to war and invade Cuba. This is known as a false flag operation. President Kennedy declined to authorise the operation.
