UK plant species at risk from deadly disease

Outbreaks of Xylella Fastidiosa in Europe have proved deadly to a wide range of species.
Entire olive grove plantations have been wiped out across Europe and there is concern from the Royal Horticultural Society that imported foreign species could prove fatal for many garden plants and agricultural crops. It is only a matter of time before there are infected species. To try and combat this the RHS are advising gardeners and farmers to only buy seeds off UK produced crops.
