McDonalds to start using paper straws

As a result of lengthy campaigning and a huge media focus on the issues of single use plastic, McDonald's have finally agreed that from September 2018 they will phase out the use of plastic straws in their restaurants.
The decision to do this follows on from other retailers and their decision to end the use of plastic straws. These include Costa Coffee and Pizza Express.
