Honduran migrants storm Guatemala-Mexico border

Hundreds of desperate migrants; fleeing violence in their home country have made their way through Guatemala, in the hope of crossing the border and reaching the USA.

The migrants were met by armed Mexican police at the bridge which crosses the Suchiate River and were forced to retreat. There are concerns that this latest issue evidences how difficult it is becoming to secure this border and will be worrying US officials who are looking to reduce immigration. Trump thanked the border security for stopping the migrants.
