Zero Price Effect

The Zero Price Effect is a behavioural economics phenomenon where dropping a price to exactly zero triggers a disproportionate surge in consumer demand. "Free" eliminates perceived downside risk, causing buyers to irrationally overvalue the good compared to its actual utility.
