Premature De-industrialisation

Premature de-industrialisation is a phenomenon in which a country's industrial sector experiences a decline in productivity, employment, and output, despite still being in the early stages of economic development.

This is in contrast to the traditional pattern of de-industrialisation, which typically occurs later in a country's economic development, after it has reached a high level of industrialisation and income.
