Minimum Income Standard

The Minimum Income Standard (MIS) is a benchmark defining the income required to reach a socially acceptable standard of living in the UK. Calculated through public consensus rather than statistical formulas, it identifies the goods and services households need not just for basic survival, but to live with dignity, make choices, and actively participate in society.
