The No Sweat plc activity provides a worksheet which develops dividend per share and dividend yield calculations, followed by an evaluation of whether improving financial performance makes the company more attractive.

Students analyse financial data for No Sweat plc, a listed athleisure business targeting young consumers. They calculate dividend per share and dividend yield for two years, then compare the results with the industry average. Using changes in dividends, operating profit and share price, students assess whether the company has become more attractive to investors. The evaluation also considers market competition, changing fashion trends, dividend sustainability and whether shareholders may prefer reinvestment and capital growth over income.
