The purpose of this activity is to introduce the concept of index numbers and to allow students to discover and practice how index numbers are calculated in an engaging way.

Students play a game where there convert onscreen letters into business-related words. Each word is awarded a raw score which students then convert to an index number as compared with the "base".

To play Index Number Challenge all you need is:

(1) this PDF download with the student instructions,

(2) the random letter generator (below)
