In the run up to Christmas toy manufacturers have made use of technology to revitalise products for 2012.

This is an interesting article entitled 'Furby, aliens and jigsaws: Top toys get techy for Christmas' http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-19947073 . It looks at how toy manufacturers have used technology to revitalise products and attract new customers. This could be useful for looking at the product life cycle and also how customer demands have changed as technology becomes part of our everyday lives. It could make an interesting stimulus as a lesson starter or discussion topic.
