This isn’t one of my ideas but its such a good one I thought I would blog about it. I got the idea from Debbie Gordon, so a virtual hat tip to you Mrs Gordon!

Given the demands of BUSS4, I have issued all my Year 13’s with a scrapbook and ‘advised’ them to collect at least one business news story per week, stick it in their scrapbook and then analyse the key issues. I am using the scrapbook as a sort of running homework which I will take in on a regular basis.

All of my students have really bought into the idea and the results so far have been excellent. I have been reading about Primarks growth, Googles venture into music downloads and other current business news stories.

As we all know, BUSS4 requires students demonstrate evidence of wider reading so I thought I would start early in the hope that this becomes a hard habit to break.
