Demand forecast to increase with prices also set to rise.

Ryanair has announced it expects ticket prices to increase due to strong customer demand.

In the three months ending December, the airline's average ticket price increased by 4% to €44 (£38). Total revenue grew by 9% to €3.21 billion, whilst passenger numbers rose by 6% to 47.5 million.

This growth follows busy periods during October half-term holidays and Christmas and New Year, when demand for flights was exceptionally strong.

The airline plans to grow passenger numbers to 300 million by 2034, supported by a new fleet of 300 Boeing 737 Max-10 aircraft. The first delivery of 15 planes is expected in spring 2027.

However, Boeing has faced quality standards and production delays. In 2024, a major strike by factory workers in Seattle delayed manufacturing. This has impacted Ryanair's operations.

The company is one of Boeing's biggest customers and relies heavily on receiving new planes on time. Fewer aircraft available and growing demand, caused Ryanair to increase ticket prices.

The new Max-10 aircraft model is more fuel efficient than the airline's current fleet of 737 and can carry 21% more passengers per flight.
