Is there a darker side to the entrepreneurial character?

Luke Johnson enjoyed ‘There will be Blood’ - I am going to see it this weekend - and asks whether the typical entrepreneur manages to maintain their coolness and decency when struggling to survive and prosper in an unforgiving world. He writes ‘The competitive spirit, once unleashed, is a primitive urge that can wreak havoc. The decent-minded go-getter keeps it under control, and thus remains a master of his soul.’
