Is BBC Bitesize Toast?

An interesting example of how allegedly anti-competitive behaviour can leave a trusted and valued brand in a little hot water.

Following complaints from the commercial educational industry (via their trade association), the BBC Trust has suspended any further investment in three of the BBC’s online learning platforms.

Not quite sure where I stand on this. As a commercial educational publisher I suppose I ought to be pleased that the industry is fighting back. On the other hand I’m a huge fan of the BBC’s online output across all the genres, including Learning Zone and Bitesize - which are substantially better than much of the commercial sector’s output.
