Based on the Channel 4 programme by the same name, I created this worksheet that asks students to predict the wages of various professions, and where they fall on the income distribution chart. They can then watch this short clip which gives them the answers, leading to great discussions and potential research on any of the following: The taboo of wages and why we struggle to make accurate predictionsThe rich-poor divide and Pareto’s LawThe importance of educationThe determinants of wagesTaxes and benefitsMoney and happinessHope it helps.
