BUSS2 Magic Formula - Student Handout

I have really enjoyed being a panellist on tutor2u's Online Revision Clinics. The next one takes place on Sunday 2 June 2013 for the BUSS2 exam on Tuesday 4 June 2013 and this post seeks to anticipate one of the common questions - what formulae do we need to know?

Students are always, and quite rightly, keen to know what formulae they might be expected to use in the exam. So below is a handout that I give to my students with guidance on all the key formulae that may be tested.

It's nothing glamorous - I just grabbed a bit of foolscap one day and wrote out the formula under the headings of key business functional areas, plus a little bit of commentary on how these formulae might provide a route to evaluation comments and what the purpose of the formulae are.

One of my students once described it as the best handout he'd ever been given by a teacher. That might be going a bit far but I hope it's useful to other students and that my handwriting can be deciphered!

Good luck to all students sitting BUSS2.
