The calculations required of students taking the AQA BUSS1 paper in Jan 2011 are shown below:

These calculations can be shown using the following spreadsheet:

For 10 available marks (out of a total of 60 marks for the paper), these calculations were very straightforward, and the well-practised candidate will enjoyed a double boost of quick, high marks leaving more time for the longer questions in Section 2.
