A fantastic new class resource for Cells.

It’s a new term and the #tutor2u A-Level Biology team have designed you a great new class resource.

Throughout my career, one recurring challenge has been involving the whole class in questioning and answering sessions. It’s always the same few who feel confident to put their hand up and give it a go. Different students have different processing speeds and we want to involve every member of the class.

This new resource has a random spinner to choose a member of the class to answer the question and then another spinner to choose the question. This gives everyone in the class time to prepare their answers if they become the chosen one.

Instead of the same individuals in a class answering questions when asked, this game choses anyone from the class based on their number in the register. This encourages all students to complete pre-reading or tasks set for the lesson, knowing that they might be chosen to answer!

This game is also perfect for testing existing lesson knowledge and understanding. Great retrieval practice!

The games are organised into individual PowerPoints for each topic so easy to find the one you are wanting to test.

The Year 1 A-Level Biology topics are useful for Y12s as they experience these topics for the first time and also a great way to work with Y13s who need to keep going back to their Year 1 knowledge to make sure it is firm in their memories.
