Trigonometry is a key topic at GCSE Maths, which is why we've sourced the best revision videos to help you ace the topic!

Common Trig Values

You need to be able to identify certain trig values without a calculator, even if you are on the foundation tier exam. It's easier to learn the triangles that contain the angles required than it is to just memorise the trig values. If you can sketch the triangle with the angles and side lengths, you can then use SOHCAHTOA to work out these special trig values. This video shows how to go about sketching the triangles. It's much easier than it seems at first, so check out the video and have a go yourself.

The Basics

This video covers the basic skills required to progressing further with trigonometry, including: labelling sides (Opp,Hyp,Adj) and SOHCAHTOA.

Trigonometry Introduction (Corbett Maths)

Finding a missing side

These two videos review the basic rules and then use them to solve problems involving a missing side of a triangle. Another important aspect of the topic.

Trigonometry finding a side (Maths Genie)
Basic Trigonometry : SOHCAHTOA : finding sides using sine, cosine and tangent (Jayates)

Finding a missing angle

Corbett Maths brings us this video looking at finding missing angles using trigonometry.

Trigonometry missing angles (Corbettmaths)

Solving a triangle

Nancy from Mathbff uses trigonometry to find a missing side then a little bit of Pythagoras to find the third side. Finally she finds the third angle using the fact that the total angles must add up to 180 degrees.
