Peter Symonds is a vibrant sixth form college in Winchester which has been rated by Ofsted as ‘outstanding’ in every respect. We have a large team of committed and talented staff who are at the heart of the success of the College.

The Economics department consists of six Teachers delivering the Edexcel Economics course to A level, with over 400 students studying the subject this year. Results are very good, with the team sharing resources and ideas.

We seek full and part time staff. Depending on the wishes of candidates, we hope to be flexible as to the size of part time contracts so please indicate your preference for full or part time and as to the amount you wish to work. Candidates will be graduates of Economics or a closely allied subject. We welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced teachers. Most importantly, they will be passionate and creative, with a real joy for the job.

Please note that posts advertised to start in September 2020 actually commence with student enrolment on Tuesday 25 August 2020. Teaching staff are required to work this week but should you have an existing commitment please make this clear on your application and we will honour it.
