This is an exciting opportunity to join an outstanding HMC school with an exemplary reputation for academic results, innovation and pastoral care. The Economics and Business department prides itself on challenging pupils academically and supporting them to achieve of their very best. We offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities including an annual Economics Conference when girls are addressed by eminent speakers and subsequently undertake workshop activities; we invite some 150 local external visiting pupils to join us on these occasions. We also encourage our pupils to enter external competitions including Bank of England and have had notable success with students winning competitions that have resulted in them securing prestigious city internships (GDST Nomura scholarship). Recent overseas trips have been offered including academically enriching trips to New York and San Francisco as well as domestically so as to oversee production, marketing and human resource facilities at companies including JLR (Jaguar Land Rover), JCB and Toyota UK. We offer a range of support and enriching opportunities including lunchtime clinics, pupil led societies and assistance with the construction of UCAS subject specific personal statements. We see each girl as an individual and recognise the need for an individualised approach to teaching and learning.
