We have an opportunity for a qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Business and Enterprise.The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to teach Economics where experience allows.Business and Economics are popular option choices and students achieve excellent results at both KS4 and KS5. We teach GCSE Business and BTEC TECH Award Level 2 in Enterprise at KS4, and A Level Business and A level Economics at KS5.
The Team
The Business and Enterprise department comprises of two teachers who teach students at KS4 and KS5 and the subject is a very popular choice at GCSE, BTEC and ‘A’ Level. Our teachers are specialists in their subject areas and offer students a wide variety of extra-curricular opportunities including Young Enterprise and the Tenner Challenge competition. A number of students take part in these competitions and have been successful at local and national level.
What are we looking for:
We are seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic and inspiring Business and Enterprise teacher (NQT or experienced) with an ability to teach Business across the full age and ability range at KS4 and KS5. There will be an expectation to support the delivery and teaching of Young Enterprise. The ability to offer a second subject would be advantageous, although the majority of teaching will be in the Business and Enterprise department.
You will be able to demonstrate:
- Appropriate experience of teaching across the full age and ability range
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Business at KS4 and 5
- Awareness of current developments in Business and Enterprise
- Enthusiasm for your subject with the ability to communicate that to others
- The ability to communicate clearly with good interpersonal skills
- Excellent practical skills combined with good classroom management and organisational skills
- The ability to inspire all students to achieve their full potential
