Be part of the team of teachers who make results day happen
We are currently looking to recruit teachers to join our examiner community. As either a GCSE or A-level Sociology teacher we would love to invite you to join the team and gain invaluable insight into the specifications.
Our examiner community is made up of practising teachers looking to build their skills and knowledge of the specification and gain insight into the exam process.
The exam marking period starts shortly after the exam has been sat and continues for around 3 weeks. During this time you will be expected to mark for around 2 to 3 hours a day. Although your students will be on study leave, it is still a demanding time for teachers so you will need to organise your time well. All teachers will be supported by a team leader who will guide you through the process and provide any additional guidance over and above your training. Most of our qualifications will be marked and standardised online in 2018, which gives you greater flexibility.
Earnings in your first year will be between £500 and £1,000. This will rise in subsequent years should you choose to increase your allocation which we keep smaller in your first year.
So, if you have taught your subject, with any awarding body, for at least three terms within the last three years, apply now to examine with us in 2018.
