Moreton Hall is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, well-qualified Psychology teacher to join this successful and friendly department from September 2018.
Psychology is currently offered at A Level at Moreton Hall and is a very popular subject. The department has a wealth of resources and has consistently gained some of the best value added scores in the school.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and an inspiring teacher, and one who has the ability to stimulate curiosity and interest in Psychology throughout the school. They should also be committed to make a valued and proactive contribution to the continued success and growth of the department and to the aims and ethos of not only the department, but of Moreton Hall.
Experience in preparing students for AQA Psychology exams would also be beneficial to the role.
If the candidate has a second subject, this may be beneficial but is not essential. Ideally, they will also play an active role in the extensive and varied Activities program, both during the working week and some weekends.
Moreton Hall, established in 1913 by the Lloyd-Williams family, is an independent boarding school and day school for girls aged 3-18 and boys aged 3-11. First Steps Nursery opened in 2007 for 1-3 year olds and is at capacity with 75 children enrolled. Moreton Hall is in an area of considerable natural beauty with excellent road and rail links both to North and South. It is situated midway between Shrewsbury and Chester.
